Description

PhytoGlycon – a plant extract complex for supporting normal glucose levels, carbohydrate metabolism, and metabolic balance.

The formula combines three components that influence different stages of carbohydrate metabolism:

bitter melon (Momordica charantia), American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius), and white bean (Phaseolus vulgaris).

The main idea of the complex is not one component with one mechanism, but a combination of several directions of carbohydrate metabolism support: from starch digestion and glucose entry after meals to its further use by the body.

This is especially relevant with a modern diet containing large amounts of bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, baked goods, sweets, and other carbohydrate sources.

What PhytoGlycon is used for

The formula is designed for people who want to support:

  • normal glucose levels;
  • healthy carbohydrate metabolism;
  • metabolic balance;
  • control of the glycemic response after meals;
  • normal absorption and use of carbohydrates;
  • control of the calorie content of a diet high in starch;
  • a more stable energy level throughout the day;
  • control of eating behavior and body weight.

PhytoGlycon may be especially relevant with a high-carbohydrate diet, low physical activity, and other factors that create increased metabolic load.

How PhytoGlycon works

Momordica charantia (bitter melon)
Contains cucurbitane triterpenoids, momordicosides, and peptide compounds that influence glucose regulation mechanisms. In studies, individual components of Momordica charantia enhanced cellular glucose uptake, activated AMPK, and interacted with insulin signaling pathways. Compounds capable of binding to the insulin receptor and supporting glucose utilization have also been described.

Panax quinquefolius (American ginseng)
A source of ginsenosides, among which Rb1, Re, Rc, Rd, and Rg1 are especially represented. American ginseng has been studied for its effect on postprandial glycemia: in a number of clinical studies, it reduced the rise in glucose after a carbohydrate load. Separately, ginsenosides are associated with support of energy metabolism, cognitive performance, and adaptation to load.

Phaseolus vulgaris (white bean)
Contains the natural α-amylase inhibitor α-AI1, which partially blocks the enzyme needed to break down starch. Due to this, complex carbohydrates are digested more slowly, which may reduce the sharpness of the glycemic response after meals and the amount of carbohydrates absorbed. Clinical studies of standardized Phaseolus vulgaris extracts have also described reduced postprandial glucose, insulin response, and support of body weight control.

Together, these three extracts work at different stages of carbohydrate metabolism: white bean – at the level of starch digestion, bitter melon – at the level of cellular glucose use and insulin signaling mechanisms, American ginseng – at the level of postprandial glycemic response and general metabolic support.

Advantages of standardized extracts

☘️ Higher concentration of active substances – extracts contain a higher concentration of characteristic bioactive plant components compared with ordinary ground raw material.

☘️ More predictable composition – standardization allows the content of key active substances to be controlled in each batch and capsule.

☘️ Better reproducible effect – concentration control is important for Momordica charantia, Panax quinquefolius, and Phaseolus vulgaris, since the biological activity of these plants depends on the composition and method of extract production.

☘️ Convenient course-based intake – there is no need to prepare infusions, decoctions, or use large amounts of plant raw material yourself.

☘️ Raw material quality control and purification – the extract form makes it possible to obtain a concentrated fraction of bioactive substances with more stable characteristics of the finished product.

✅ Best combination

With berberine

For more comprehensive support of carbohydrate metabolism and metabolic balance. Berberine is studied in relation to insulin sensitivity, AMPK, and regulation of glucose metabolism, so it complements the action of PhytoGlycon components well.

With Cordyceps militaris

For support of energy metabolism, physical endurance, and recovery, especially if energy fluctuations are combined with high load or an active lifestyle.

With Reishi

For additional support of antioxidant protection, immune regulation, and metabolic balance during periods of prolonged load on the body.
