Turkey Tail is known for its polysaccharide complexes PSK and PSP. Trametes versicolor has a long history of research as an auxiliary component alongside standard anticancer therapy, primarily due to its immunomodulatory properties.
In the complex, Reishi, Shiitake, and Turkey Tail do not work as three sources of identical β-glucans. Each mushroom contains its own complex of polysaccharides and other bioactive substances that influence different branches of the immune response.
