Description

Cordyceps sinensis (Chinese cordyceps) is one of the most valuable and rare medicinal mushrooms in the world. It is known as the “Himalayan elixir of life” for its ability to enhance endurance, energy, strengthen immunity, and support the functioning of all body systems. Cordyceps sinensis naturally forms in the high-altitude regions of Tibet and the Himalayas, at elevations of around 4000 m and above, where low pressure, cold climate, and clean air create unique conditions for the development of a mushroom with exceptionally high concentrations of bioactive compounds.

True Cordyceps sinensis:

✅ a whole caterpillar completely replaced by fungal mycelium,
✅ and a natural fruiting body (stromata) growing outward.

In this form, Cordyceps occurs in nature and combines all active substances of the mycelium and fruiting bodies, including: polysaccharides, β-glucans, adenosine, inosine, guanosine, cordycepin, sterols (ergosterol), amino acids, mannitol. For this reason, true Cordyceps sinensis is considered one of the strongest natural adaptogens.

Conditions and diseases Cordyceps sinensis may help with

chronic fatigue and low endurance (Shashidhar 2013, Lo et al., 2013)
frequent colds and weak immunity, autoimmune reactions (activation of macrophages, NK-cells) (Das et al. 2021, Lo et al., 2013, Olatunji et al., 2018, T. B. Ng and H. X. Wang 2005)
chronic bronchitis, asthma, COPD (Shashidhar 2013, Lo et al., 2013)
viral and bacterial infections (Shashidhar 2013, Lo et al., 2013)
diabetes and insulin resistance (Wang & Shiao, 2000, Yuan et al., 2022)
kidney failure, toxic kidney damage (Shashidhar 2013, Zhang et al., 2005)
liver diseases: hepatitis, steatosis, cirrhosis (Shashidhar 2013, Wang & Shiao, 2000)
oncology support (adjuvant therapy) (cancer cell apoptosis and reduction of metastasis) (Liu et al., 2015, Shashidhar 2013, Liu et al., 2022)
elevated cholesterol and triglycerides (Wang & Shiao, 2000, Shashidhar 2013)
cardiovascular diseases (ischemia, atherosclerosis, hyperlipidemia, hypertension) (Lo et al., 2013, Olatunji et al., 2018, Shashidhar 2013, Holliday & Cleaver 2008)
arrhythmias, tendency to thrombosis, circulatory disorders (Wang & Shiao, 2000)
neurodegenerative disorders, brain ischemia (stroke model) (Shashidhar 2013,Olatunji et al., 2018, Sharma et al., 2024)
decreased libido and sexual dysfunction, male infertility (Shashidhar 2013)
accelerated aging, oxidative stress (Lo et al., 2013, Shashidhar 2013)

Therapeutic actions

  • Immunomodulating. Cordyceps balances the immune response, enhances the body’s natural defense, and reduces inflammation.
  • Antitumor. Studies show inhibition of the growth of Sarcoma 180, B16 melanoma and suppression of metastasis.
  • Hypoglycemic. Polysaccharides lower glucose and enhance glucokinase and hexokinase activity.
  • Nephroprotective. Protects the kidneys from toxic effects of antibiotics and chemotherapy drugs.
  • Hepatoprotective. Reduces fibrosis and normalizes liver enzymes.
  • Adaptogenic and energy-stimulating. Increases ATP levels and improves oxygen utilization by muscles.
  • Antioxidant. High content of amino acids and active enzymes reduces free radical levels.

Why choose this mushroom

1. Authentic Cordyceps sinensis
Not cultivated mycelium, not powder, not extract — but a whole mushroom in its natural form.

2. Full spectrum of active compounds
Caterpillar – mycelium
Fruiting body – secondary metabolites
Together — the maximum power of Cordyceps sinensis.

3. Premium quality and rarity
In nature, Cordyceps is extremely rare, making the product valuable and highly effective.

4. Traditional and scientifically supported remedy
Mentioned in Tibetan and Chinese medicine for over 500 years, and hundreds of modern studies have confirmed its effects.

How to use Cordyceps sinensis
1. Steeping (classic method)
Pour 200 ml of water (80–90°C) over 1–2 mushrooms.
Infuse for 10–15 minutes.
The best option is to infuse overnight in a thermos.
Drink the infusion.

2. Consuming the mushroom after steeping
The fruiting body and caterpillar can be eaten after infusion — it is mycelium with preserved active compounds.

3. Alcohol tincture
Pour 50–100 ml of 40% alcohol over 1–2 mushrooms (about 1 gram).
Infuse for 14–30 days.
Take 1 tsp 1–2 times daily.
